很多接受正規英文教育的學子，到現在都還不知道passion在日常美語中的語意，記住的，就只有老師教的「熱愛」。
但，我們中文是說：我熱愛足球，足球是我的「愛好」，如果你要硬ㄠ說熱愛也可以，那請問：It's my passion, my real passion. 是不是要翻譯成：那是我的熱愛，我真正的熱愛？

1.(濃厚)興趣
Teens who have a passion for something are more likely to thrive. 對某樣東西有濃厚興趣的青少年比較可能有良好的發育。
His pas-sions remain prosaic. 他的興趣仍然相當廣泛。
2.熱愛(have a passion for)
He has a passion for sports. 他熱愛運動。
3.熱忱
He is not a man who has no passion or no ideas. 他不是一個沒有熱忱， 或沒有信念的人。
4.熱情
Slowly my passion for the sport just vanished. 我對這項運動的熱情逐漸消失。
5.衝勁
With no team to play for, he is applying that passion to clearing his name. 在沒有球隊可以效力的情況下， 他把那股衝勁用來還自己的清白。
6.愛好
Baseball is his true passion. 棒球是他真正的愛好。
7.狂熱
The driving force behind the project has been his passion. 這項投資計畫背後的動力就是他的狂熱。
8.情緒
In South Korea the passion is even stronger. 在南韓， 民眾的情緒甚至更激烈。
