【對焦中英翻譯】學英文，必定要有例句為依歸

英文同義字是華人學英文最大的罩門，因為，從中文的角度來說，英文字典所列的synonyms大多不同義(not with the same meaning in Chinese)，無法交替使用(can't be used interchangeably)，每每造成英文寫作上的困難與障礙，主要是，沒有例句的說明，學子無法判定使用的語境，確切的字義，所以，學英文，必定要有例句為依歸，才不會被英文定義/中文釋義誤導，畢竟，沒有充足的例句，精確的翻譯，任何人都不可能讓學子學到準確的英文，不信，就去請英文專家來翻譯下面的句子，看他們能否正確翻譯，實在是，同樣中文字詞，英文會有多種不同的對應，不看人家怎麼寫，我們不知道該用甚麼字才對：

抑制
1. choke off/curb/quell/rein in/ restrain/suppress 

抑制通貨膨脹 to ~ inflation 

抑制油價 to ~ oil prices keep sth at bay (idiom) 

這些都是抑制通貨膨脹的措施。Those are measures aimed at keeping inflation at bay.
