sympathy 與 empathy 的語意差異
網路上回答此一問題的人眾多，大家各顯身手，言之有理，令人敬佩，問題是，有沒有人提出正確的中文翻譯顯示其實質的語意差異？看了半天，沒有！有的都是註解，不是翻譯，翻譯是要有相對的語例才算，這是很重要的觀念，多數人不注重，實則，談英文，教英文，若是不帶語例，只講定義，說了跟沒說一樣：
empathize with
1. If I love you, I can empathize with you and see the world through your eyes. 如果我愛妳，我可以理解妳，透過妳的眼睛看世界。

sympathize with

empathy

4. 慰問
Expressions of sympathy flooded in from all over the country.慰問信從全國各地湧入。He wanted to show his sympathy for the bereaved. 他想表達對喪家的慰問。
